JAX and the Wayward is powerhouse vocals and hard rock with a touch of funk.

Jax’s vocal delivery has been likened to Janis Joplin, Beth Hart, and Dolores O’Riordan.

Career highlights include opening for Reece Mastin’s Launceston and Hobart shows of his Suitcase of Stories Tour 2018, opening for Spiderbait on the Hobart date of their sold out Ivy & the Big Apples tour 2017, opening for Icehouse on one of their 2016 Hobart tour dates, opening for Sister’s Doll, Choirboys, placing third nationally in the Global Battle of the Bands Australia in 2016, multiple music festivals, and supports for several Tasmanian and interstate bands and agency bands, including a state tour in 2016 and 2023.

JAX and the Wayward played across three stages at Falls Music & Arts Festival 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17, 2018/19, and 2019/20 in Marion Bay, Festival of King Island 2017 and 2020, and headlined the Adventure Bay Blues & Roots Festival 2016

JAX and the Wayward’s new single ‘Ain’t Life Hard’ is due for release on July 8th, 2023, and is the first from their forthcoming album.
